Scrooge

OK, Christmas is approaching and as it is my family usually, actually always, indulges in the Christmas Carol movies. Which movies are the best? In no particular order we have:

Scrooge with Albert Finney as Scrooge

A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott as Scrooge

A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart (not in his Star Trek uniform) as Scrooge

and let's not forget

The Muppet Christmas Carol
with Michael Caine as Scrooge

I know, I know, Dickens was a socialist of his day. Nevertheless, it’s a great story that is still capable of conveying some truth. So, what are your favorite holiday films and what will you be doing to prepare for this holiday season?

oh I love the muppet christmas carol. was Dickens a socialist? He was a pauper himself so that was an issue for him. Check out his little known work 'the life and times of our LORD'.
God Bless

I'm no expert on Dickens but I believe he was a socialist even though many disagree with that. It is still a good story with some truth and lessons within. The Muppet version is my wife's favorite, too.
