Nancy Guthrie delivered an extremely insightful workshop at TGC this year titled, Is Your Church a Safe Place for Sad People? Learning to Walk with Each Other Through Loss. I cannot recommend this enough. Under six headings she shares from her own grief what she has learned with her husband. Many of us as church leaders would do well to listen, learn and put into action her suggestions.The hour you spend listening to this address will reap fruit many times over as you learn to help others in their grief.
